Footwear company, Yikodeen, has entered into a strategic partnership with Sorbcontrol S.L, a Spain-based manufacturer of oil spill response and environmental protection solutions, in a move aimed at strengthening industrial safety, environmental compliance, and spill response capabilities across Nigeria’s oil and gas, marine, and industrial sectors.
 
Under the agreement, Yikodeen Company Limited has been appointed as an authorized distributor of Sorbcontrol products within Nigeria, expanding local access to internationally recognized spill containment and environmental protection technologies designed for high-risk industrial operations.
 
The partnership comes at a time when environmental sustainability, operational safety, and regulatory compliance continue to receive increased attention across Nigeria’s energy and industrial landscape. Industry operators are under growing pressure to improve spill preparedness, minimize environmental impact, and align with global environmental protection standards.
 
Through this collaboration, Yikodeen will oversee the promotion, distribution, and technical support of Sorbcontrol’s product range within the Nigerian market, while Sorbcontrol S.L will provide manufacturer authorization, technical backing, and product support to strengthen local deployment and operational effectiveness.
 
The partnership is expected to improve the availability of high-performance spill response solutions for companies operating across upstream and downstream oil and gas operations, marine facilities, industrial plants, logistics hubs, and other environmentally sensitive environments where rapid containment and response capabilities are critical.

The authorization was officially issued on 28 April 2026 in Avinyonet del Penedès, Spain.
