Heineken Lokpobiri
By Enewaridideke Ekanpou
Rt. Hon. Heineken Lokpobiri, the former speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, is now a senator.
Lokpobiri has detailed me to alert the world to the agreement between Sagbama and Ekeremor on power-sharing.
It is like the husband-sharing agreement between the wives of a man.
If the Senate goes to Ekeremor, House of Representatives goes to Sagbama.
This is how it is in this life.
I am home like a prophet willing to tell you something when consulted.
I speak anytime I am consulted because I am like a prophet.
Heineken Lokpobiri says he has come out to wrestle again; it is a political wrestling.
Heineken Lokpobiri is a cat whose back never touches the earth.
A commonly known agreement exists between Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas.
For Heineken Lokpobiri, Impunity-driven deflection from this agreement path would be catastrophic;
The terms of this agreement must be respected by all in every electoral season
Mitin, be informed Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has come out to wrestle again;
Bullet, be informed Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has come out to wrestle again;
Men are joyously out with breasts neatly folded and tied, waiting for Heineken;
Women are out with breasts neatly folded and tied, waiting for Heineken;
A champion who has become a wrestling champion through wrestling can no longer be beaten and fall on the wrestling arena.
Sagbama and Ekeremor must pay heed to my words.
Pay heed to me, Ekeremor;
Pay heed to me, Sagbama.
The storyteller in Ijaw nation has come to tell a story.
What should I actually say again? What will I say? What won’t I say in Ijaw nation?
What will I say so that people can heed my words?
I have said many things.
I have been talking, telling stories in Ijaw nation.
I have spoken many times until to point of exhaustion but nobody has heeded my words.
What have I not said in Ijaw nation?
It is Heineken Lokpobiri’s timely insistence that I tell the world Sagbama and Ekeremor have an agreement on power-sharing as regards Senate and House of Representatives.
There is also a book written with mouth on this power-sharing matter just as there is a written agreement.
The English man calls it written agreement.
If you presumptuously dismiss this power-sharing agreement as something inconsequential, calling it an unwritten agreement, I shall not say anything further on this.
This is a peaceful world, only turned stormy and zigzag by your single act of deliberate deviation from the power-sharing agreement.
Written or unwritten, this power-sharing agreement must be respected by all.
If Ekeremor does anything evil to Sagbama in defiance of this agreement, it is a self-inflicted wound;
If Sagbama does anything objectionable to Ekeremor in defiance of this agreement, it is also a self-inflicted wound.
Sagbama and Ekeremor must be ready to bear the consequences attendant upon deviation from this unwritten and written power-sharing agreement.
Sagbama, heed my words.
Ekeremor, heed my words.
Heineken Lokpobiri is a wrestling champion;
The back of a wrestling champion never touches the earth.
Please heed my words.
Even in the congregation of champions there are distinguished champions that tower above all other champions. Heineken Lokpobiri’s wrestling championship belongs to this distinguished category.
Heineken Lokpobiri is the wrestling champion whose back has not touched the earth because the back of his head is like that of a cat.
Heineken Lokpobiri is the Adodokuro (the strong-hearted) of Bayelsa State.
Even if twenty persons are on one side while he stands alone on another side, he remains undaunted and fearless, not psyched out by the rising number of persons on the other side against him.
No dug-out canoe Heineken Lokpobiri enters ever gets capsized.
Heineken Lokpobiri is an unbeatable wrestling champion.
Heineken Lokpobiri is a man of inspiring stature;
Lokpobiri is indeed a wrestling champion whose back will not touch the earth however the strength of his challenger.
Heineken Lokpobiri is a special child sent by God to assist the Ijaw nation and chart a safe path for all the Ijaws.
I am saying that Heineken Lokpobiri is a great man, a godsend in Ijaw nation capacitated to chart a progressive path for Ijaw nation.
Sagbama, heed my words.
Ekeremor, heed my words.
We must unite and do the right thing.
If we do take the wrong path and things go wrong or haywire, it must not be attributed to witchcraft or the devil.
If we fail to do the right thing and allow things to take the wrong course, we must blame no one but ourselves.
If we unite and do the right thing, everything will become orderly and peaceful for both Sagbama and Ekeremor.
Dear Ekeremor and Sagbama, be united and walk on the agreed path.
If you are not united, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow.
If you walk here and there without being on the agreed power-sharing path, you must not blame Heineken Lokpobiri for anything that may happen tomorrow as a result of deliberate deviation from the agreed path.
Causing damage to something is always much easier than repair.
For peace to reign, the power-sharing agreement must be respected by Sagbama and Ekeremor without impunity and presumptuousness.
Dear Heineken Lokpobiri, come out and dance your dance because everybody is waiting for you.
Heineken Lokpobiri, come out and dance because both men and women are waiting for you.
Heineken Lokpobiri, come out and dance your dance because the entire Ijaw nation is waiting for you.
If you are actually ready, please come out and dance your dance because we are all waiting for you.
