Hon. Valentine Nneoma Oyemike has called on Deltans, particularly the people of Delta North Senatorial District and Ndokwa Nation, to rally massive support for the Governorship Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Dcn. Chris Iyovwaye, describing him as a visionary leader with practical solutions to the developmental challenges confronting Delta State.

According to Oyemike, Dcn. Iyovwaye’s recently unveiled blueprint aimed at transforming Delta State’s vast gas resources into wealth creation, industrial development, and youth employment opportunities clearly demonstrates that he is prepared to offer Deltans governance founded on ideas, innovation, and sustainable development rather than mere political promises.

He noted that the gas development initiative is only one among several strategic blueprints designed by the NDC governorship candidate to unlock the immense economic potential of Delta State and create meaningful opportunities for the people.

Oyemike observed that despite being one of Nigeria’s richest oil and gas-producing states, Delta continues to face challenges of unemployment, environmental degradation, and underutilization of its natural resources. He commended Iyovwaye for presenting practical solutions capable of converting the state’s abundant gas reserves into industries, investments, jobs, and long-term economic prosperity.

The former legislative aspirant and Founder of the Oyemike Political Network (OPN), a formidable grassroots political movement with a strong presence across Ndokwa Nation, further emphasized that the proposed plan to end gas flaring and harness gas resources for productive economic activities holds particular significance for Delta North and Ndokwa communities, where residents have endured the environmental and socio-economic consequences of gas flaring for decades.

He expressed confidence that the implementation of such people-oriented policies would not only improve the living conditions of residents but also create sustainable opportunities for youths, stimulate local businesses, attract investments, and position Delta State as a major industrial hub in Nigeria.

Describing Dcn. Chris Iyovwaye as a leader with the requisite private sector experience and innovative mindset needed to drive economic transformation, Oyemike urged Deltans to look beyond partisan politics and embrace a candidate whose vision is centered on productivity, accountability, wealth creation, and inclusive development.

He therefore called on political stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women, and all well-meaning citizens across Delta State to unite behind the NDC governorship candidate and support the movement for a new Delta founded on practical solutions, economic empowerment, and people-centered governance.

Oyemike maintained that the forthcoming governorship election presents Deltans with an opportunity to choose between the politics of promises and the politics of measurable progress, stressing that Dcn. Chris Iyovwaye has continued to distinguish himself as a candidate with a clear vision and actionable plans for the future.

“The future of Delta State must be built on vision, competence, and practical solutions. Deltans deserve leadership that will transform our abundant resources into shared prosperity for all,” Oyemike stated.
